Tithes | Offerings | FAQs

If you have been blessed by the ministries of Maranatha, we would be honored if you would consider supporting us with your regular contributions.

We have provided this online giving feature as a convenient way for you to support the ministry with your tithes and offerings. We greatly appreciate your financial gifts to Maranatha. Your gifts help us in our mission to share the life-giving message of Jesus. An acknowledgement letter will be emailed to you upon receipt of your contribution.

The Bible teaches us that our baseline standard for giving is the tithe — contributing 10% of our income to the church.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” (Malachi 3:10)

At Maranatha, we know tithing has been a turning point for many people to experience the blessings of following Jesus. In fact, Maranatha even tithes as a church on all its incoming donations as well!

When God stirs us to give beyond our tithe, it’s referred to as an offering. Offerings go to many areas such as missions & building campaigns.

Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. (Luke 6:38)

Thank you, again, for prayerfully considering your contribution to this ministry!

Is it safe to give online?

Yes. The security of the system is continually maintained by PayPal … the world’s largest and most trusted online processing service.

From what types of bank accounts can I give?

You can give online from your checking or savings account.

Can I use a credit card to make a contribution?

Yes. You can use Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. However, please only give with a credit card you pay off each month. Going into debt to make a donation is never wise stewardship.

Can I use a debit card to make a contribution?

Yes. You can use your debit card.

Are there any fees involved with giving online?

Not to you. You will not pay any fees with an online gift. When you give by credit/debit card a percentage of your donation goes to the credit card company rather than the church. Contributions made by electronic check cost just pennies per transaction. The church and its ministries will benefit more from your donation when you give by check.

Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?

Yes. The church will continue to send year-end contribution statements for tax purposes. These statements will reflect all your contributions to Maranatha Community Church including those made online.

When will contributions by electronic check be taken from my bank account?

Contributions made by electronic check will be taken from your specified bank account within 4 business days. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

When will contributions made by credit/debit card be charged to my account?

If you make a contribution using your credit/debit card, the transaction will be initiated immediately and will appear on your account within 4 business days.

Can I designate my gift to a particular cause?

Donations are deposited into the Maranatha General Fund. If you’d like to designate your contribution, please feel free to use the comment field.

How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?

Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an e-mail verifying your contribution.

I have additional questions about online giving that have not been addressed. Who can I talk to?
